Located above Maggie Valley, 1.5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Fireside Cottages and Mountaineer Restaurant are just minutes away from great places like Hot Spring, Asheville, and Pigeon Forge. We’re a great place to call “home away from home!” when you use us as your base on your mountain vacation.

There are plenty of fun things to do; horseback riding, a train ride through the mountains, white water rafting, observing the elk, waterfalls and mountain hiking, Harrah’s casino in Cherokee, the Biltmore Estate, local theater, Wheels Through Time Museum, unique shopping, cultural arts and entertainment, or just plain lazin’ on your porch and looking at the mountains...it’s all only minutes away.

The 3 Fireside Cottages -- Accommodation for up to 18 people. An awesome view Soco Gap at 4,500 feet elevation.  These cozy cottages with fireplaces are 1 bedroom, 1 bath, two double beds and a pull out couch in the living room. Rocking chairs on the front porch.

The Creekside Cottage: -- 1.4 wooded acres with waterfall and rushing creek. 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with 2 porches to admire the scenery! Gas fireplace, washer and dryer and fire pit.  SLEEPS 6

Across the Creek -- Unique double unit cabin. King beds with additional sleeping in the living room.  Enjoy the 30 ft. deck with picnic tables and grill. Washer and dryer, dishwasher and fire pit.

Fireside Lodge:  Jacuzzi, creek, pond, and patio! Sleep to the sounds of a rushing creek. in this 5 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. Great outdoors!  Large kitchen, 2 dining areas., cozy great room. Fireplace, firepit, washer and dryer, dishwasher. Sleeps 10 with great location and lots of room

The Mountaineer Restaurant, located on Soco Road and just about a 1 minute walk from the Fireside Cottages, offers country cooking at affordable prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Dine either on our porches overlooking picturesque Soco Gap with it’s awesome views, or inside. We can accommodate your banquet, a family get-together, bus tours, or receptions; customizing a menu to fit your needs.  Come as you are, drop in and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
